The Ministry of Education recognizes the academic efforts of 42 public school students who obtained the highest score in Test of Learning and Skills for Graduates of Secondary Education, PAES 2010 at national level. Minister Education, Salvador Sanchez Ceren, awarded scholarships to the top three public school students from each of the departments.
David Alejandro Córdova Menendez, Educational Complex Catholic Our Lady of the Rosary, San Marcos, with an overall mark of 9.7, earned him along with 41 other public school students, a scholarship to fund their studies.
This award was credited as one of the most outstanding students in the PAES 2010 in the department of San Salvador, and one of the best students nationally .
